Internet Explorer Script Error when printing

In the forums, we got an interesting question. The person got the following error:

An error has occurred in the script on this page

Internet Explorer script error
Line: 1015
Char: 1
Unspecified error:
Code 0 URL: res://c:\windows\system\shdoclc.dll/preview.dlg





Here are some possible solutions:

Solution 1: Uninstall Surfairy

If you don't have Surfairy on your system, move on to the next solution.

  • Click on the Start button
  • Choose Run
  • Type in:
    C:\Program Files\Surfairy\uninstall.exe
  • Press Enter
  • Go through the uninstallation screens to remove Surfairy.

Solution 2: For Windows ME users

If you have Windows ME, follow the instructions in this Microsoft Knowledge Base article.

 

Solution 3: Disable Script Debugging

  • Open Internet Explorer
  • Click on the Tools menu
  • Choose Internet Options
  • Click on the Advanced tab
  • Under Browsing, check Disable script debugging

Solution 4: For Windows 95/98/ME users
